EXPERIENCE
Statistics & Analytics Intern, Battle Creek Battle Jacks, Battle Creek, MI. Summer 2022
• Served as the official scorekeeper, operating the Northwoods League’s Scorebook software. Created Wins Above Replacement (WAR), among other metrics, for the entire league and made the data readily available via stadium handouts and a publicly visible excel book.
• Color commentator for three of the team’s home games, providing statistical and situational insight to keep viewers engaged throughout the game.
• Supplied the coaching staff and players with scouting reports, spray charts and tendencies to help create a competitive advantage on the field.
• Captured 600+ hours of game footage, successfully uploading 208/216 available camera angles to Synergy Sports, where it would be converted into a valuable resource for players, coaches, and scouts.
Women’s Basketball Data Team University of Illinois, Champaign, IL. October 2021- Current.
• Built an excel workbook to collect data and calculate lineup efficiency and other metrics. Tracks data live and presents coaching staff with relevant in-game data.
Baseball Operations Intern, Spearfish Sasquatch Baseball Club, Spearfish, SD. Summer 2021
• Official scorekeeper and statistician for the Spearfish Sasquatch Baseball Club of the Expedition League. Used the software Pointstreak to record the events of each game and analyze player statistics to provide the coaching staff, broadcaster, and fans with relevant data.

• Calculates and uploads advanced metrics to a public excel book where they can be viewed and referenced by Northwoods League fans, players, and broadcasters.
Creating Northwoods League WAR, RStudio, Excel – 2022
• A step-by-step walk through of how I created the Wins Above Replacement metric for the Northwoods League in 2022, going through run expectancy, linear weights, and park factors along the way. Project will be posted shortly after the conclusion of the Northwoods League regular season, once all metrics are final.

Northwoods League All-WAR Team, RStudio, Excel – 2022 [link]
• Created an “All-WAR” team of Northwoods League players in comparison to the league’s annual All-Star team. Discovered which statistics and factors were potentially overlooked in the voting process.
Expedition League Run Expectancy Matrix, RStudio, Excel – 2021 [link]
• Created a Run Expectancy Matrix for Expedition League baseball. Explored relevant graphics and compared my data with real MLB numbers.
Analysis of Situational Baseball in the Expedition League, RStudio, Excel – 2021 [link]
• Used Run Expectancy and Probability matrices to analyze traditional strategic methods, such as stolen bases and sacrifice bunts.
Predicting MLB Salaries, RStudio – 2021 [link]
• Compared player’s elementary statistics with their salaries, creating a predictive model showing which players were possibly overpaid or underpaid.
The Effect of Weather on Team Performance – MLB 2016, Python-Jupyter Notebook – 2020 [link]
• Examined how different MLB teams performed in different weather in 2016.
